Bio

Christoph has been involved with gardening and farming for most of his 37 years in both commercial and residential settings and has completed a diploma in agriculture from the University College of the Fraser Valley. Upon moving to Nelson he adopted an organic approach to growing food that draws on a variety of innovative and exciting growing philosophies. Most recently he has worked with greenhouse-grown greens, managed the outdoor market greens at Meadowbrook Farm and grown sprouts for Kootenay Sprouts. His pet project in Nelson for the last four years has been an urban farm oasis on Creek St. that follows a unique urban micro-farm approach, complete with bantam chickens, mini-orchard, four-season greenhouse, and 1500 square feet of food gardens.

Other interests take him into the world of piano accompaniment, singing, and acting. He is a passionate environmentalist, cyclist, and nature enthusiast.
